Cherie Hammers grew up on a farm in the southern part of Illinois. She earned two teaching degrees and taught school in Illinois, Missouri, and in Tennessee, where she met and married her husband, Karl. She later resigned from teaching in order to stay home with her three children whom she is nearly finished homeschooling. Writing has always been a passion, particularly about the insights she is learning in the Bible. Cherie has been involved in Bible studies and fellowship groups in order to minister to fellow Believers on their journey with God.
It has been over 30 years since Cherie had an encounter with God that set her life in a new direction. Since then she has felt a call to teach and disciple those in the Body of Christ who want to have a deeper and more victorious walk with Jesus and “enjoy safe pasture,” (Psalm 37:3).
